Yesterday was one of those days where it seemed like I couldn't look the camera in the eye or when I did I made a silly face. It happen's from time to time. I guess that's what I get for dating SSBF instead of a professional photographer. I should have known I would have started a blog. I need to start planning ahead better. Jk SSBF, jk. My outfit was partly inspired by this picture from "The Sartorialist". I'm obsessed with silhoutte of this look and I love me a floating belt.

Speaking of planning ahead I am sure glad SSBF is the diligent saver he is because over the weekend we were hit with a $1300 repair bill for his 2008 Honda Civic. It's a nice feeling to know that we already had enough money set aside to pay for the bill (a concept relatively new to me). However, having to actually use the money was not as good of a feeling. We are both still frustrated with the situation given the car is only two years old. Let this be a lesson to us all, Honda is the next Toyota, save your money! You'll never know when your next big expense will be. Unless you are psychic. If so, the next mega millions drawing is on Friday, I promise I will give you 1% when I win, ok 5. Seriously though, consider it, the saving that is. To get myself in the habit of savings I set-up automatic withdraws for the day I get paid. The money goes straight from my checking account to my ING savings. It took me some time to get used to but I finally resigned myself to how awesome it was to save and continued on with my life, less $50 bi-weekly.

On another note you will all probably be happy to know that I caved and washed my hair. Usually 5 days without is just about average for me. In my opinion my hair always looks better dirty ( it has zero texture after shampooing) so I let it go until SSBF starts complaining. Or if I start to smell it-- I promise that it doesn't happen this way very often, only every 10 days or so.

PS. We are getting 6 inches of rain today! If you don't hear from me for awhile it's because I was washed away.

  1. Love the mix and match of stripes and dots in your outfit. Very tendy yet classic at the same time because of the trench.
