Friday morning I woke up for the first time in two weeks, since starting my group personal training, not sore. It was thrilling. To celebrate I decided I wanted to wear my platform wedges to work and then preceded to build my outfit from the gound up. I've always loved how navy blue plays with the purple and red in this skirt. It's not uncommon for me to pair a navy blue shirt with it and call it a day. I decided to take a different approach this time and pair it with this tank I impulsively grabbed at Old Navy for like $5.

We took these pictures at one of the gazillion business parks in Columbia. I was consumed with wanting steps in my pictures. Why? I don't know. I just wanted them. So SSBF, the wonderful loving boyfriend he is, drove me around to find some. Well actually when we had set out we knew where we were heading. When we got there though there was a single car in the lot parked squarely in front of the steps I intended to use which is what led us to a little driving around.

Anyway, on our drive I realized Columbia is literally covered in these business parks housing small business to doctor's offices to large corporations. It's very uninteresting.  I love our little house and the fact that our street name is taken from the work of John Greenleaf Whittier (all the street names in Columbia are taken from great works of literature or art, something I just learned today!), but I would love a more intersting landscape then business parks. Is that too much to ask of an already developed city?
