I've been contemplating a post like this for a while now but didn't quite have the right inspiration until I read Kiera's well written post about financial fitness. Ironically enough, I have been down on myself lately because I feel like I am always wearing the "same thing". (A very nasty thought for a recovering shopaholic.) Her post reminded me that fashion is about the number of clothes you own, but the way you wear them. It's only natural to rewear clothes (and I do, often) so in honor of being both fashion forward and financially fit I invite you to vote for your favorite of my remixes this summer.
Then, if you are feeling game submit your own summer to me at grace.croshaw@gmail.com and I will feature you right here on Money Smart Fashion!
Everyone's summer essential: The Maxi Dress
SSBF's least favorite: The Straw Fedora
The Gap Jean Legging
The Floral Skirt
Love all the styles but the Maxi dress revision is the best for me!

Oh shoot. I had a 40% off coupon to Gap & I stood there staring at those jean leggings for several minutes but decided to pass them up. I got a pair from Lucky instead. I should've at least tried them.
ReplyDeleteI am beyond jealous of that maxi dress. Great remix piece.
ReplyDeleteI love all the outfits, specially the first one!=)

You just can't go wrong with denim--you'll wear those time and time again I'm sure! :)
ReplyDeleteAw I really love this post! I was feeling the same way with my clothes for the longest time, and no amount of shopping ever made me feel like I had exactly the closet I wanted. Just recently I tried to start buying less and appreciated what I have more. Having fashion as a hobby is tough when you're on a budget!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the shout-out! I did a remix challenge over the summer, and I'm seriously thinking about doing one again soon. I'll email you if I do, and we can do it together :)
